Speaker:  Anis Koubaa – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Topic(s):  Architecture, Embedded Systems and Electronics, Robotics

Abstract

Ardupilot is the main autopilot for drones, ground vehicles and underwater vehicles. It is considered as the most powerful autopilot developed by experts and professionals and being used by many UAV companies. It uses the MAVLink protocol to communicate between the drone/vehicle and the ground stations. It is a lightweight messaging protocol designed for micro air vehicles.

In this presentation, I will provide an overview on Ardupilot and related hardware. In addition I present the specification of the MAVLink protocol and its implementation.
