Abstract

ISMAR (the International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality) is the leading conference on Augmented Reality. This presentation reviews 20 years of research presented at the conference, from 1998-2018, identifying research trends and significant publications in the field. The presentation also reviews predictions made at earlier ISMAR conference and how accurate they have been, and opportunities for future research work in the MR and AR fields.
