Essential Researcher Identifiers and Benefits of Reviewing Manuscripts for Quality Journals

This lecture introduces some key identifiers-ORCID ID, Researcher ID, Scopus ID, Publons profile and Google Scholar, which are essential in distinguishing a researcher and getting credit for the research activity in the academic community. These researcher identifiers will belong to the researcher throughout the scholarly career and will support automated links between researchers, publishers, funders and other organizations. The importance and usage of each of this researcher identifier is discussed in detail in this lecture and the steps to obtain these identifiers are demonstrated. 
In the second part of the lecture, benefits of reviewing manuscripts for quality journals are discussed. Certificates of reviewing, Free access to journals and obtaining credits for reviews using Publons is discussed in detail. Further, generation and efficient usage of Publons profile is demonstrated.
