The Fluid Realities of the Future

Speaker:  Jacquelyn F Morie – Los Angeles, CA, United States
Topic(s):  Human Computer Interaction

Abstract

Real & Imaginary - the physical and the virtual - are about to enter into a dance in which they will whirl together at such a velocity that we may have a hard time telling them apart. In this transition period we still think of many of these technologies as separate, but convergence is inevitable. How we live, connect, play, learn and heal will all be changed and enhanced by what is coming soon. We need to think about how these realities can, do and will affect us as human beings, in both positive and challenging ways. Such new realities will beget the very experiences we live and hold in our memories, and that will become a part of every person’s life in the rapidly approaching future.
