Abstract
Development of nation depends on agriculture in many countries of the world and the economy or GDP of the country therefore depends on agriculture productivity. Sustainable development of a nation could only be achieved in true sense when its rural economy keeps on improved using innovation and ICT enabled guidance and monitoring mechanism. This may involve several factors as indicators in the process of improvement of rural economy such as environmental effect, crop assessment, weather forecasting, productivity etc. This lecture highlights about how ICT (information and communication technologies) could help the farmers and improve rural economy so that quality of life of the rural population is improved in addition to contribution towards sustainable development of the country. This brings few cases studies that substantiate the potential role of ICT.About this Lecture
