Elements of Network Simulation using ns3

Speaker:  Pradeep Kumar TS – Chennai, India
Topic(s):  Networks and Communications

Abstract

Network Simulation is a topic that everyone of us try to experience the type of networks and analyse their performance due to the unavailability of network elements, non affordability of networking equipment. So network simulation is the only option for understanding the networks.

In this session, the network simulation methods like even driven simulation, creation of nodes, channels, application, topology and other network elements will be addressed. This also includes networking animations, logging and tracing of events along with their processing of those logs will be addressed.

To give a flair idea of a real simulation, ns3 will be handled to demonstrate the simulation of networks. Wired, Wireless networks and open flow for Software Defined Networks will be simulated based on the interests of the audience. Plotting tools like gnuplot will also be discussed.
