Speaker:  Nandhini S S – ERODE, India
Topic(s):  Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural language processing

Abstract

Artificial intelligence being the hot topic of the technological world comprises of many foreground technologies. The lecture aims at delivering the basics of AI and the applications of AI that we are using in day-to-day life. This lecture starts with the history, where and when actually AI was coined and how it takes the road to reach the reality now. Also, it covers the machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and some of its related applications like ViQAR and the basic working of such algorithms. The importance of artificial intelligence in processing the image like recognising the face of the same person, recognizing the environment of the image and so on are also included. A detailed description about how artificial intelligence is different from robotics and how far they are similar are comprised in this lecture. An example machine learning application using R / Python will be demonstrated. Other wide applications of artificial intelligence in following areas and the recent development in each of the following fields are included.

Marketing
Banking
Finance
Agriculture
Health care (Risk sensitive system)
Gaming
Aviation
