Speaker: Vijayalakshmi Saravanan – Rochester, NY, United StatesTopic(s): Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural language processing
Abstract
Big data is the buzzword now. It refers to large amount of data collected, stored and processed using big data technologies and tools. Hence, at first we need to understand the foundations of data science and big data techniques. In this tutorial, first we are emphasizing on basics of both concepts and techniques. We also provides an overview of data analysis tasks and the associated challenges.
The key topics discussed in this tutorial are as follows:
Introduction to data science, data preprocessing, model building, model evaluation, and data visualization. We cover the major data analysis algorithms such as classification, clustering, association analysis, anomaly detection, statistical testing and regression analysis. Implementation of specific techniques on practical datasets from diverse application domains, reinforcing the concepts and techniques using python.
