A Framework for Validation of Software Metrics
Speaker: Sanjay Misra – Lagos, NigeriaTopic(s): Software Engineering and Programming
Abstract
Measurement in Software Engineering is not matured yet. Thousands of software measures/metrics can be found in the literature; however, most of them are not used in common practice. Also, for evaluating these measures, several proposals are available in the literature, but they are not adequate to control the quality of the proposed measures. Academicians and practitioners are continuously working on standardizing the measurement techniques in this area. This work presents features of a framework, which considers several perspectives through which a software complexity metric should be evaluated before submitting to the research community and professionals. The framework is duly implemented, compared and validated.About this Lecture
