Abstract
What is open linked data? How is it connected with the future of the Web? In this talk, we will discuss the concept of open linked data and the advantages of creating an ecosystem for structuring, delivering and consuming data in open format. We will also present the principles known as "5 Star System" to classify the degree of openness of the data available on the Web. Then, related concepts such as Semantic Web, ontologies, data modeling and information sharing standards, will be introduced. The audience will learn which methods and standards are currently being used by W3C for metadata sharing (that give meaning to Web data), and view the latest trends in the development of intelligent applications that use semantic data to generate tools that meet the needs of the market and the society in the 21st century.About this Lecture
