Luca Muscariello received the MS in 2002 and PhD in 2006 in EE and CS both from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He works at Cisco Systems as Principal Engineer and is a research associate at the IRT SystemX. He spent ten years working at Orange Labs (former France Telecom R&D) doing research and innovation in different areas of networking such as quality of service, trafficmanagement, traffic engineering in fixed and mobile networks.
He has published more than sixty paper in journals such as IEEE/ACM Transactions, Elsevier Science journals and conference proceedings such as ACM SIGCOMM ICN, ACM SIGMETRICS, IEEE INFOCOM. He currently works at Cisco in the Chief Architecture and Technology Office (CTAO) on research and development, as well as industrialization of Information-Centric Networking technologies. He was program co-chair of IEEE LANMAN 2018 and general co-chair of IEEE LANMAN 2019, program co-chair of Valuetools 2013, program and general co-chair of ACM SIGCOMM ICN 2014. He has served in the ACM SIGCOMM ICN steering committee until 2016. He is a senior member of the ACM, IEEE and SEE. He is leading two open source projects for FD.io (Fast data - Input/Output) in the Linux Foundation Networking Fund (LFN) that focus on high performance implementation of ICN network and transport stacks. He has supervised (and continues to learn from) several interns and five PhD students.
