He currently works at IBM Research - India as a Senior Research Scientist. He is a Senior Member of IEEE starting from July 2018. He joined IBM Research - India in December 2010 as a Research Scientist in the group of Analytics and Optimization. Prior to joining IBM Research, he received masters degree and Ph.D. degree both in computer science, in 2006 and 2010 respectively, from the Department of Computer Science and Automation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. His research interests are Social Media Analytics, Business Analytics, Game Theory, Graph Data Mining, Multi-Agent Decision Making, Machine Learning. He has published about 30 peer-reviewed research articles that includes several premier computer science conferences such as AAAI, IJCAI, ICDE, ECAI, ECML, EMNLP, etc. He has got 6 granted patents in USPTO and about 25 patents applications filed in USPTO to his credit in the areas of artificial intelligence, social networks, data science, business analytics, and IoT.
He has twice received IBM's prestigious "Outstanding Technical Achievement Award (OTAA)" for his work inhe areas of social media analytics, graph mining and game theory. He is a recipient of Microsoft Research India Ph.D. Fellowship for the duration of 3 years from 2007-2010 and he also received an honorable mention award for the proposal based on my work in PhD thesis from Yahoo! Labs Key Scientific Challenges, 2010. His Ph.D. dissertation has received the "Best Ph.D. Thesis" award from Computer Society of India (CSI), 2012.
ACM Involvement: Ramasuri Narayanam is an ACM member as well as a member of ACM India's Eminent Speaker Program (ESP) from 2016. He gave several technical talks in academic institutions within India.
