Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made a significant impact on education in recent years. This presentation will explore the current landscape of AI in teaching and learning, focusing on innovative applications. These include Generative AI for content creation, intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive personalized learning platforms, AR/VR technologies for education, automated essay grading, and intelligent assessment tools. We will also discuss challenges such as potential job market disruptions due to automation and the need for re-skilling educators. Other concerns such as impediments to the learning process, hindrances to critical thinking and creativity, etc. will also be addressed. By examining these trends and challenges, we aim to shape the future of education, ensuring that AI is used effectively to optimize teaching and learning experiences for both students and educators.
