Threat Modelling, and Vulnerability Analysis of Blockchain Systems1
Speaker: RK Shyamasundar – Mumbai, IndiaTopic(s): Security and Privacy
Abstract
The blockchain platform is a complex system consisting of nodes, network devices, authentication services, dApps, wallets, web interfaces, key storage, miners, etc. It is a network of centralized and decentralized system components. Securing such a configuration is quite complex. The core technology of blockchain platforms is strongly secure as it satisfies properties like immutable, distributed and public. However, in various use-case scenarios of the platforms, dApps, the system being essentially a network of systems, suffers from classic threats. In this talk, we shall illustrate various types of attacks in blockchain systems, security challenges, and threat modelling for blockchain systems. Further, we discuss a systematic way of analysing security and vulnerabilities in a blockchain system.About this Lecture
