Hardware Support for AI

Speaker:  Mohamed Zahran – New York, NY, United States
Topic(s):  Applied Computing

Abstract

With machine learning (ML) techniques infiltrating many aspects of our life and businesses, an important question to answer is: what is the best hardware to use for my particular case? In this talk, we will divide our answer into three sub-topics. First, we will survey the different ML techniques and examine their computational and memory requirements. Second, we will explore the different hardware solutions, for both training and inference. Finally, we will explore the different criteria by which we can pick a specific hardware for a specific ML technique, or a combination of several ML techniques.
