There is a lack of understanding of such malware threats and what mechanisms can be used in implementing security prevention as well as to detect the threat. This presentation provides an overview of malware and binary obfuscations, mainly polymorphic and metamorphic techniques. The purpose of this presentation is to describe recent trends, malware-as-a-service, ransomware, and spear phishing emails.
