ETHICAL TECH STARTUPS: CONVERSATIONS WITH FOUNDERS

Speaker:  Ronald Michael Baecker – Toronto, ON, Canada
Topic(s):  Society and the Computing Profession

Abstract

This is a companion talk to ETHICAL TECH STARTUPS: PRINCIPLES FOR SUCCESS.

I shall interview the founder of a local tech startup success. For example, in Toronto, Canada, I would speak with the founders of Caseware International, Nuula, or SideFX. In Sydney, Australia, I would interview the founder(s) of Canva.

The conversation will range broadly over topics such as motivation, value proposition, competitive advantage, validation, identity, business model, finances, team, culture, and ethics. Particular attention will be placed on stages of growth, exit strategies, and challenges met or still being faced.
