Friend or Foe: Role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Cybersecurity
Speaker: Rasheed Hussain – Bristol, United KingdomTopic(s): Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural language processing
Abstract
This lecture covers the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Cybersecurity. With the emergence of new technologies, increase in the volume, velocity, veracity, and variety of data calls for new techniques to deal with security issues in systems. Traditional static security mechanisms won’t suffice. Therefore, AI has become the bread and butter for the security of complex system that deal with lots of data with heterogenous backgrounds. This lecture sheds light on the role AI has played (and currently playing) in providing cybersecurity solutions in a multitude of environments. It also discusses the pitfalls and limitations of the AI techniques and the security of AI itself.About this Lecture
