Latin American Human-Computer Interaction
Speaker: AndrĂ©s Lucero – Helsinki, FinlandTopic(s): Human Computer Interaction
Abstract
There is a rich and lively Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) research community in Latin America. However, due to financial, geographic, language, and publication strategy reasons among others, HCI research from Latin America has lacked a more widespread international visibility. By disseminating results and more actively engaging in critical discussions of Latin American academic work, our HCI knowledge production will further diversify and make our community even more inclusive. In this lecture, I will discuss themes, methods, and opportunities by providing highlights of Human-Computer Interaction research coming out of Latin America.About this Lecture
