Abstract

This lecture draws from my experience as founding chair of the ACM AccessSIGCHI to ensure more equitable participation by disabled people in computing.  It overviews the major categories of disability that impact participation in computing, including neurodivergences.  It covers best practices for ensuring remote meetings are accessible including both selecting accessible software and social conventions that will support disabled attendees.  It also covers best practices for face-to-face meetings planning, as well as best practices for ensuring proceedings and websites are accessible.
