Dr. Lance B. Eliot is a high-tech corporate officer and senior computer scientist who has been a university professor, executive director of a pioneering AI research laboratory, a successful startup founder, a chief technology officer in large corporations, a popular and widely quoted high-tech columnist for Forbes who has amassed several million views and began his career by proudly competing in the annual ACM programming contest (i.e., the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest or ICPC). His mainstay focus is on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and he was honored to be the invited keynote speaker at the AI World conference. He currently serves as a member of the ACM US Technology Policy Committee (USTPC) and has been involved with the ACM in many capacities over the years, including serving on the editorial board for the Communications of the ACM (CACM), being a speaker at ACM conferences, publishing in ACM periodicals, and he was an ACM Student Chapter advisor, he was a Vice Chair and founder of an ACM Professional Chapter, he was a university Computer Science Accreditation evaluator as part of the ACM-affiliated Computer Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB), and otherwise has considered the ACM to be an important part of his career and stridently encourages up-and-coming computer science students and erstwhile professionals to actively participate in the ACM. He holds a Ph.D., MBA, and Bachelor degree in Computer Science, and has earned numerous high-tech certifications and honors.
